Our dentist will first assess your concerns – for example, a toothache, tooth sensitivity, cracked tooth, loose tooth, bleeding gums or other problems. He will then visually inspect your mouth, often including a dental X-ray right at the clinic to detect decay that is not visible to the naked eye (e.g. between teeth or under fillings). Treatment is fast, accurate and requires no further travel.
After the examination, the dentist will explain which teeth are affected, the extent of the decay or other damage, and the treatment options. If it is a simple decay, it can often be treated immediately, during the same visit. We perform all treatments with maximum empathy, precision, and the use of the most modern technologies.
If the decay is deeper or the procedure could be uncomfortable, the dentist will give you local anesthesia, which will make the treatment completely painless.
The dentist removes the damaged tissue (caries) from the tooth. The space is thoroughly cleaned and filled with a white composite filling that aesthetically blends with the tooth. The material is shaped and hardened using a special light.
After the filling, the tooth is adjusted so that it does not interfere with biting – the doctor will have you bite into a so-called bite paper and adjust the filling as needed. The tooth will then be polished to make it smooth and pleasant to the touch.
Finally, the dentist will advise you on how to care for your teeth and, if necessary, set a date for further treatment. Quality diagnostics and regular preventive dental check-ups (at least once every 6 months) help to detect problems before they become apparent.
Do you have an acute problem or a painful tooth? We will give you priority! Put yourself in the hands of experienced dentists at Casa Dental and give your teeth the care they deserve.
Restorative (or conservation) dentistry is dedicated to treating tooth decay and preserving your natural teeth for as long as possible. The most common procedures include treating tooth decay, replacing fillings, treating the dental pulp (endodontics), and repairing damaged teeth.
Early decay may not be painful. However, you may notice a change in the color of the tooth (dark or white spot), sensitivity to sweets, cold or pressure. In the advanced stage, pain, odor or swelling will appear. This is why it is important to have regular preventive check-ups with your dentist.
Most of the more complex procedures are performed under local anesthesia, so the patient does not feel any pain. Smaller cavities can be treated without injections. However, modern equipment and gentle techniques guarantee maximum comfort.
A typical cavity treatment takes 20-40 minutes, depending on the extent of the damage. In the case of multiple cavities or deeper damage, the time may be extended or divided into multiple visits.
The most commonly used are white composite fillings that mimic the color and shape of natural teeth. They are aesthetic, strong, and suitable for chewing areas.
If the filling is holding and the tooth is healthy, replacement is not necessary. However, if it is cracked, leaking, the tooth underneath is decaying, or it is aesthetically unpleasing, your doctor will recommend replacing it with a more modern material.
Deep decay that extends into the pulp may require root canal treatment (endodontics). This is a procedure that removes infected tissue from the tooth, disinfects the inside of the roots, and seals the tooth.
Untreated tooth decay spreads and can lead to severe pain, nerve inflammation, abscess formation, and ultimately tooth loss. Tooth decay will not stop on its own – the sooner it is treated, the easier and cheaper the treatment.
A quality filling can last 5-10 years, sometimes longer, with proper care. Regular checks help detect wear or decay developing under a damaged filling in time.
Prevention is the key: Brush your teeth twice a day with a toothbrush and toothpaste with fluoride. Use dental floss or an interdental brush. Have a regular preventive check-up with your dentist at least once a year. Limit sugary foods and drinks. Have a professional dental cleaning at least once every 6 months.
