Our experienced dentist will first assess the overall condition of your mouth, take X-rays or a 3D CT scan, and prepare an individual treatment plan. It will be determined whether there is enough bone in your jaw to place a dental implant. If not, bone augmentation may be necessary.
Under local anesthesia, a titanium implant is surgically inserted into your jawbone to replace the tooth root. The procedure takes approximately 30 to 60 minutes and is painless. The treatment is followed by a healing period of 2 to 4 months, during which the dental implant fuses with the bone.
After healing, the dentist will first screw the so-called abutment onto the implant – the connecting link between the implant and the crown. In the meantime, the dental technician will create a dental crown, the shape and color of which will match the other teeth. This will be firmly attached to the dental implant. You can then use the tooth fully.
